Book Club

It’s Book Club time! And this go round we’re trying something a little different: we’re reviewing our very own Desert Panther, Tony Consiglio’s, magnum opus of boy-bands and sadness, 110 Per¢. Mike and Alex chat about the book for the first half-hour, then Tony joins the discussion to answer some uncomfortable questions.

Its an Ink Panthers Show Book Club Sneak-Attack!, as we spend pretty much the whole episode discussing Marvel Comics: The Untold Story by Sean Howe. Hear Alex’s envy of the folks working in the Marvel bullpen back in the “good old days”, and how Mike foolishly passed up the opportunity to purchase a mint copy of Defiant Comics “Warriors of Plasm” #1 for a mere $100! Regular laff-filled content will resume next week, we promise!

For the second Ink Panthers Book Club, we read George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four. Lots and lots of talk about how messed up our present day society is, and how much of an unimaginable dystopia it would seem to someone living back, in say, 1984.
