		<description>Black bears are a lot smaller, right? It was probably a black bear that shambled out of the woods at that family picnic. I feel like while I would probably still ultimately lose in the fight with the black bear, I would stand a better chance with it than I would against a Grizzly.</description>

		<description>It depends on whether it is a black bear or a grizzly. Black bears can climb and eat carrion, so playing dead won&#039;t do anything. You just want to speak calmly with black bears, and back away slowly. If they charge, you should fight back as Black Bears tends to be far more timid.

If it is a grizzly, you will want to climb a tree if possible, but you need to get relatively high (~10 meters). Curling up into a ball can work, as Grizzlies typically care more about dominance then hunting humans.</description>
